The NY Jets are reeling and they have a Week 7 matchup on Thursday night with the Patriots and Geno Smith will be getting the start again with Michael Vick as the backup and the best fantasy football options against New England include Jace Amaro, Eric Decker Jeremy Kerley and Chris Ivory for owners, especially after the game Amaro had over the weekend.

The Jets have a Thursday matchup against the Patriots and it comes as they are on a five game losing streak and now they have a major divisional game. According to Pro Football Talk, Rex Ryan has put his confidence behind Geno Smith despite his struggles and he will be starting for the Jets against the Patriots. Smith has not been good this season and he has continued to turn the ball over, including on the game sealing interception return for a touchdown against the Broncos on Sunday.

The Jets started the season 1-0 and were talking very big after beating the Raiders (who are still winless) and after that they proceeded to lose five straight games in various heartbreaking and maddening ways. Smith has been turning the ball over continuously and the team also blew the end of the game against the Packers after calling a timeout just before Smith connected on a late TD. The team was shutout by the Chargers on the road and then after keeping the Broncos close for most of the game, the team let them pull away for the win on Sunday.

Smith has blamed the media for his latest issues and it comes after he cursed out fans at MetLife Stadium and missed a meeting before playing the Chargers. Smith says that the media is blowing up these issues, but it looks like more that Ryan and the Jets are once again enabling a player and letting him give excuses for everything. Either way, Michael Vick hasn't been much better and that is one reason why the team is likely sticking with Smith. The Jets are already irrelevant and unless they turn it around with a win on Thursday, they could be out of the division and playoff race in the AFC East and AFC by Halloween. Smith is also currently the lowest rated passer in the NFL after going 23 of 43 against the Broncos for 190 yards and an interception with two TDs.

Smith has been a mess and he has seven picks and six TDs on the season and he has not shown signs of improvement over the last few games. Eric Decker and Jace Amaro had strong games for the Jets and they could be fantasy options moving forward with Jeremy Kerley despite the struggles of Smith. Amaro had his best game of the season with 10 catches for 68 yards and he also scored his first touchdown in the NFL.

Amaro has been very solid over the past few weeks and he has had at least three catches in each of the last four games. Decker looked good on Sunday after dealing with injuries earlier in the tear and now he has 20 catches on the season for 258 yards after making six on Sunday against his old team for 54 yards and a TD.
