The MLB playoffs schedule on Tuesday has two games, as the ALCS was rained out on Monday and now the NLCS is the afternoon game with the Cardinals and Giants tied 1-1 in the series, while the Orioles play the Royals down 2-0 and that game will be in primetime at 8 pm ET on TBS in Kansas City, where the Royals have not yet lost in the postseason.

The Royals have not lost yet in the postseason and this is a must win game for the Orioles, as they will be down 3-0 if they lose and that would be very hard to overcome. The Cardinals won on a walk-off home run in their last game to tie the series with the Giants and that came after the Giants tied the game late before losing. The Cardinals will have John Lackey and the Giants are pitching Tim Hudson and this Game 3 matchup is huge with the series now tied.

The Royals have continued to mash and now they have won two games in Baltimore and they have the chance to win the series at home in Kansas City. The schedule has three games here in KC before heading back to Baltimore and if the Royals win two of three, there will be no need for a return trip. The Royals swept out the Angels and won over the Athletics already this postseason and they have the chance to book a trip to the World Series with two more victories.

The Royals and Orioles rain day gave the teams another chance to rest, but now there will be no travel day later in the series and that could be big for the Orioles. The Royals can close things out here, but if the series heads back to Baltimore it means the Orioles bounced back. Not having an extra day could keep the momentum going depending on how things play out and that could push the advantage back to the O's. The Cardinals have lost Yadier Molina and that is a huge loss and they are keeping him on the active roster for now with his injury.
