The Royals now hold a 2-0 series lead. "

The MLB playoffs standings has the Giants up 1-0 in the NLCS after their win over the Cardinals, while the Royals won over the Orioles to take a 2-0 series lead in the ALCS, putting the wild card teams ahead in both the American League and National League postseason championship series with Game 2 coming for St. Louis and San Francisco on Saturday night.

The Royals won over the Orioles 6-4 and they now have still not lost in the postseason after taking down the Athletics and sweeping the LA Angels in the ALDS. The Royals have simply been great through the postseason and they ended up with 11 hits in the game and Mike Moustakas hit a homerun and Wade Davis ended up with the win after Greg Holland closed it out.

The Royals are now leading 2-0 heading back home to Kansas City and they have not lost yet in the playoffs. Kansas City looks like the team of destiny and after the ORioles were one of the best offensive teams in the league this season, it's the Royals who have been scoring and mashing homers. The Giants won 3-0 against the Cardinals with Madison Bumgarner on the mound and now they are looking to take a 2-0 lead in the series after Bum defeated Adam Wainwright in the duel.

The Giants now are 27-10 over the past three playoffs appearances and they are shaping up to be the World Series reps again after winning two championships in three years a couple seasons ago. The team shut down the Cardinals and Bumgarner may have gotten away with a balk, but either way the Giants were fantastic and now they matchup in St. Louis on Sunday night with Jake Peavy and Lance Lynn on the mound.
