Oct 09, 2014 04:27 PM EDT

The Thursday night football game for Week 6 is on the TV schedule with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans playing and the game is live on the CBS Channel and NFL Network at 8:30 pm ET from Reliant Stadium as Andrew Luck and Arian Foster battle in a division matchup and this is a big game that will decide first place in the AFC South.

The Colts and Texans are each 3-2 on the season and the Colts come into the game hot, having won three games in a row after starting off 0-2. The team has been passing the ball better than anyone and Andrew Luck has been the top fantasy football player of anyone at his position. The Texans have more wins already than last season, but they have now faltered a bit since a nice start and now they have the best team in their division coming for a visit. Arian Foster is starting the game despite dealing with a hamstring issue and he comes in after a great game against the Dallas Cowboys last weekend.

The Colts have been one of the highest scoring teams in the league the past few weeks and after putting up over 40 points in two games, they won over the Ravens 20-13 last weekend. The team opened the season with a loss to Denver and then they lost in a tight game on Monday night football against the Eagles before winning over the Jaguars, Titans and Ravens in the last three games. The team has a tough stretch coming up of three games on the road in four weeks and they play the Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers and NY Giants before a bye week.

The Colts come out of the bye week with a tough game, as they have the New England Patriots at home and after that they play two more home games in a row against the Redskins and Jaguars, who currently have one win combined. The team ends the season with three games on the road in four weeks, playing the Browns, Cowboys and Titans away and getting the Texans at home.

The Texans come into the game after a close loss to the Dallas Cowboys last week in the battle of Texas and they next will play against the Steelers on MNF. Arian Foster had his best game of the season with over 150 yards in the matchup and now he has the chance to do it again. The team has a tough schedule coming up with road games in Pitt and against the Titans and then the team has the Eagles before a bye and out of that they play the Browns and Bengals in an Ohio tour, one home and one away.

The Texans and Colts play on Thursday night for the lead in the AFC South division.
