Fantasy Football Free Agents Week 6: Austin Davis, Mohamed Sanu, Matt Prater, Brian Quick, Antone Smith, Timothy Wright Options

The Fantasy Football Week 6 matchups re here and some free agents and pickup options include Austin Davis, Timothy Wright, Brian Quick, Antone Smith, Mohamed Sanu, Travis Benjamin, Alfred Blue, Ben Tate, Odell Beckham, Knowshon Moreno, Justin Forsett, Benny Cunningham, CJ Anderson and Matt Prater, as those players all have the chance to contribute moving forward for their teams.

Austin Davis is a great free agent QB option for any teams in need of a spot start or have a player with a bye week, as he has won the Rams job and he has been putting up numbers. Last week he had over 350 yards and three TDs and he could continue that run, while Benny Cunningham is a solid Rams option with Zac Stacy injured. CJ Anderson and Ronnie Hillman will be coming in with Montee Ball dealing with a groin injury and they could split starter carries this week against the Jets.

Tim Wright has shown that he can be a solid option next to Rob Gronkowski and he could become a favorite target like Aaron Hernandez was for Tom Brady. Matt Prater, yes, the kicker, is a great option, as he is one of the top kickers in the NFL, but he was cut for some issues off the field with the Broncos. The Lions have been dreadful kicking the ball and he could be a sleeper pickup. Kickers often are overlooked, but their points are consistent and can be the difference between winning and losing matchups.

Wright is a solid TE pickup after he went for five catches for 85 yards and a TD and that came as Gronkowski also had a big game. Many were worried that there wouldn't be enough targets for both players, but clearly Brady knows how to spread the ball around and that is big for fantasy owners. Cunningham comes in with the chance to start and he is still available in most leagues across CBS, ESPN and Yahoo fantasy.

The Rams RB situation was unsettled apart from Stacy and now that he is injured, Cunningham should get starter carries until he returns. Austin Davis has played well while coming in for Shaun Hill and he has earned the starting job. Cunningham had 72 total yards last week on 10 touches and when he has a week of practice to prepare to be the starter, he could be even better for the Rams. Quick is another Rams option and while they are not an offensive powerhouse, those names are all solid pickups in deeper leagues.

Drew Brees is on a bye week and that means Pierre Thomas and his WRs are as well, making players like Davis, Cunningham and Quick nice spot starts. For Jimmy Graham owners, Eric Ebron or Larry Donnell are nice TE options, as he is off and those two have the chance to step up. The Lions likely will be without Calvin Johnson and that could open up some targets for Ebron. Prater is a strong pickup in all leagues, as the Lions have signed him to a deal and he is an accurate and strong kicker. The Lions have been terrible in the kicking game and now Prater could help stabilize that.
