Eddie Lacy finally got his named called a few times on Sunday as the running back has a slow start to the 2014 season. After getting named Rookie of the Year at the end of last season, Lacy entered his second year with expectations at an all-time high. The Green Bay Packers finally had a run game and he was the face of it. However, so far things have not looked good for Lacy as the offense switches back to a pass-first unit under Aaron Rodgers.

Lacy's numbers have been quiet compared to what he put up on offense last year, but the Packers in general have been quiet until Rodgers erupted for four touchdowns on Sunday. Lacy was getting the blame for most of the team's struggles as the offense simply was not clicking, but the focus should also fall on the receivers and a number of dropped passes and miscommunication from the quarterback. That was not an issue against the Chicago Bears, but will it continue to be a reoccurring issue as the season progresses?

Lacy had 48 yards on 17 carries Sunday while finally finding the endzone for the Packers. The numbers certainly gave hope that the running back is finally shifting into gear for the 2014 season. Lacy admits that he has struggled to find a groove this year and is still waiting for his breakout game.

"I could do better," Lacy said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Everybody could do better. You have to continue to improve. But after running the ball the way that I did the past few games, you definitely get frustrated a bit. It's just timing and knowing where they're going to be, when they're coming off of blocks, who they're going to block next. Just timing it up so when they get to that block, you'll be just about to reach the level that they're on.

Most of Lacy's success last season came without Rodgers under center. Now, the running back is working on trying to regain chemistry with the franchise quarterback while feeling out the offensive line. Things look much better on Sunday and the entire Packers team feels confident the momentum has shifted in their favor.

"I just wanted to remind everybody that it's a long season, and at some point, we're going to get this thing figured out," Rodgers said.

For now, the wide receivers are taking the focus of Green Bay's offense as Rodgers has always been a pass-first quarterback. Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson are benefiting from it as is Davante Adams.
