Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are playing live on the Barclays Premier League schedule on Saturday and the match starts up at 12:30 pm ET on the NBC Sports Network and NBCSN Live Extra website as the Gunners and Spurs face off after the Capital One Cup competition this week and Arsenal is looking to stay on track heading back into the EPL.
The North London Derby is always an anticipated matchup and now the two teams will go at each other on Saturday and both the Gunners and Spurs want to win this time. Emmanuel Adebayor has a strong history in these matches and Tottenham has made a number of changes to the lineup heading into the game. Arsenal is dealing with a couple tough results with Dortmund and Southampton and the big key for the team is the play of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil and Arsene Wenger has to be smart about they are used.
Arsenal has not been shut out in any of the last 10 league games against Tottenham and that means the Spurs should try and stay aggressive early and the Gunners will be ready for that. Last season the team sometimes allowed losses to fester and build up into bad streaks and they will try and avoid that as they play in this game on Saturday.
The Gunners come in after a win in the Champions League earlier in their first group match before losing to Dortmund and now they have Tottenham after a win over Aston Villa. Arsenal played very well last season for most of the year and they ended up fourth in the Premier League standings. The team has a tough schedule coming up with Galatasaray in the UCL, while Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is also on the horizon. Arsenal had their chances and while they ended up in the UCL again, they are looking for EPL hardware and they want to be in the mix this season.
