Tight end Vernon Davis #85 of the San Francisco 49ers gets hit by inside linebacker Jon Bostic #57 of the Chicago Bears during the second quarter of their game at Levi's Stadium on September 14, 2014 in Santa Clara, California. "

The San Francisco 49ers suffered a tough loss last week against the Bears and now Colin Kaepernick has some major fantasy football options in Week 3, as Vernon Davis is expected to play, while Carlos Hyde, Frank Gore, Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Stevie Johnson are also solid starters for this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals.

The 49ers lost a very tough game on Sunday night to the chicago Bears and now they have the chance to bounce back with a divsiion game against the Cardinals. Arizona just won on the road in NY and took down the Giants and they have a very tough defense and a solid offense even with Carson Palmer possibly out. The Niners have to get better overall and Davis could be the key and there is a chance that he plays after being injured on SNF.

Davis is one of the top targets for Kaepernick and without him the team will have to step up and that means Michael Crabtree, Frank Gore, Carlos Hyde and Anquan Boldin will have even more pressure to play well. Davis underwent an MRI and there is a chance that he will play in Week 3 and fantasy owners should keep an eye on the injury report in case anything changes.

Kaepernick comes in after having an up and down game against the Bears and while he had 250 yards passing and a touchdown, he also tossed three picks. Kaepernick is one of the most dynamic players in the league and he has 77 yards rushing this season already and has passed for 449 yards and three touchdowns. Kaepernick has a ton of weapons and the offense has players that can come in for Davis, including Crabtree and Johnson at the WR position.

Frank Gore comes in with 129 yards in two games with a touchdown and he has been one of the most consistent fantasy performers in all of football. Gore had 63 yards in the game against the Bears and he also had two catches for 12 yards. Gore has been playing ahead of Carlos Hyde, but the rookie has been looking good to start and he has 50 yards on the season. Hyde did not have a great game against the Bears, but he will continue getting carries and he comes in after having zero yards on four carries against the Bears, including missing a goal line shot to get a TD. But he will get his chances.

The San Francisco 49ers have a ton of great fantasy options for Colin Kaepernick this season, as names like Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Stevie Johnson as well as Carlos Hyde and Bruce Ellington all could be solid sleeper picks heading into the season, as the Niners are expected to pass the ball more than last year and some of those names could be big performers.
