The Cleveland Cavaliers have been interested in pulling off a trade with the Nuggets for Timofey Mozgov to help shore up their defense, but the team has to give a decent package to get it done and players like Tristan Thompson or Dion Waiters could be in the mix for the deal and this comes as the Cavs are also targeting Ray Allen as a free agent.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Cavs would like to trade for Mozgov, but right now the Nuggets are not motivated to do it. The Cavs need to make a decent proposal to get it done and they may have to give up a solid piece or two if they want it. According to Pro Basketball Talk, Allen has made his decision that he is not retiring, but he has not made a choice about what team to play for. Allen is being targeted by the Cavaliers and he also has had interest from the LA Clippers, Wizards and San Antonio Spurs.

The Cavaliers pulled off the trade for Love and that did that in impressive fashion, as they gave up top players, but not ones that really weakened the team. The Cavs have veterans and young players and now they are the favorites in the east to win with LeBron James.

Love was the top trade chip in the league and he is also the one of the best young players in the NBA. Love is a double-double machine and that doesn't include his amazing SportsCenter commercial he did with Stan Verett, as he averaged over 25 points and 12 rebounds last year for Minnesota and also factored into the MVP race for the first time in his career.

Earlier in the offseason Love was quoted in the media saying that he wanted to test the market when he has chance and also that he wants to be somewhere where he can make the playoffs. So far Love has not made the postseason in six years with the Timberwolves and now he is hoping to make it to a contender. Love pulled himself off the team USA roster this summer to ensure that he doesn't get injured and mess up a potential trade and while a deal with the Timberwolves is not a certainly, it is looking more and more likely as the summer wears on.
