Marshawn Lynch Fantasy: Seahawks RB Best Starter With Percy Harvin Over Robert Turbin, Christine Michael

The Seattle Seahawks won over the Green Bay Packers and Marshawn Lynch was the main reason why and he clearly is the top fantasy football RB from Seattle over Robert Turbin and Christine Michael and one of the best in the NFL and he should continue putting up good numbers after his Week 1 performance and the victory over the Pack.

Lynch came into the season as one of the best running back options in fantasy football this year after the way he performed last season and he showed exactly why on Thursday night. The Seahawks opened with a win against the Packers and Lynch was a main offensive threat, leaving the team with 110 yards rushing and two touchdowns and he also had 20 carries in the game. Lynch is the top back for the Seahawks and he comes in after rushing for 1257 yards last season with 12 touchdowns.

Some have picked up Robert Turbin and Christine Michael as sleeper options, but they are only worth picking up if Lynch gets injured. Turbin had some touches and Michael could be a deep pick up option in 14 team leagues, but Lynch is the main back and will stay that way barring an injury. Lynch spent the offseason dealing with a contract issue and some other problems, but he put all that behind him and had a great game to start the season.

Lynch had one catch for 14 yards and while he isn't a receiver out of the backfield like LeSean McCoy is, he still had 36 catches last season and he has had at least 20 every year since he was a rookie. Turbin had six carries for 27 yards and Percy Harvin had four for 41 yards and Turbin likely will be the main backup over Michael.

Lynch is as consistent as they come and he has had at least 1000 yards in all but two seasons and those were his last year in Buffalo and first in Seattle. Lynch has scored at least 11 touchdowns in each of the last three seasons and the way the Seahawks looked on Thursday, they should be the favorites in the Super Bowl once again. Lynch had 1590 yards two years ago and he is a beast and he could end up as the top back after this performance.

Lynch has a solid matchup next week with the Chargers and they are not the best rush defense so he could be in line for a very good game in Week 2 as well. Week 3 has the Denver Broncos and that should be a massive game and Seattle should be favored and Lynch could add another big performance against Peyton Manning. Last season Lynch had 4.2 yards per carry and he was strong again on Thursday.
