The College Football season is here and on Friday night, BYU will be play against UConn in a matchup from Rentschler Field on ESPN and streaming online live from WatchESPN and the game has the Brigham Young Cougars travelling to play the Connecticut Huskies for the game as they try to start the season and the matchup starts at 7 pm ET with Taysom Hill and Cody Hoffman.
BYU comes in after being one of the best rushing teams in the nation last season and UConn is trying get off to a good start after a tough season. Hill broke out last year and now he has the chance to do big things and he had nearly 3,000 passing yards last season and he also rushed for 1344 yards and was one of the most productive players in the nation last season. Cody Hoffman is one of the top players on the team and he comes in after catching 45 balls for 727 yards and he had over 16 yards per catch with five scores last season. BYU is looking to get things started off fast and they are the favorite in this game.
UConn went just 3-9 last season and they lost all three chances to top 25 teams, while BYU went 8-5 and they went 1-2 against the top teams. BYU comes in and has a tough schedule, including the next game against Texas and then the team plays against Houston and Virginia. The team has a tough slate after that with Utah State, while UCF is next and that will be on the road to start three of four away, including Boise State and Middle Tennessee with Nevada in the middle. The team ends with Cal, while UNLV is also on the schedule.
UConn starts off with BYU and then they continue with Stony Brook and then Boise State. The team has South Florida on the road after that and has three of four on the road, including Tulane and East Carolina after playing against Temple. The rest of the schedule has UCF, Army and Cincinnati and then the team has Memphis and SMU to end the season. BYU is a tough offensive team and they are looking to light things up on UConn.
