The Buffalo Bills may look at a CJ Spiller trade this summer or season and while the running back has put the trade rumors out of his mind, they will remain until he gets a new deal and with the NY Giants are dealing with some injuries this offseason to Peyton Hillis and David Wilson, New York may look at a deal to get some more depth despite the fact that trades do not usually do down this late in training camp.

According to NFL.com, the Bills and Spiller have not been able to come to an agreement on a new deal and there is a chance he could be traded. The team extended the contract of Fred Jackson by a year and also traded a draft pick in the offseason with the Eagles for Bryce Brown. ESPN.com reports that the Eagles were an option for Spiller before they traded for Darren Sproles and now the Bills may look for a trade heading into the season or at the deadline. Spiller said he understands the talk and has been blocking it out in camp.

Spiller actually could be a fantastic fit for the Giants after what happened with David Wilson, as he was the "speed" back among their group and their new offense has plenty to do for players with talent like that. Ben McAdoo and his version of the west coast offense has plenty of screen passes and short passes to running backs and Spiller could thrive in that role after what happened with Wilson.

The Giants knew that it was possible that Wilson would be out for part of this season and they prepared for that, but they really don't have anyone else like Wilson on the roster right now. Spiller can match the speed of Wilson and it would help add another element to the position with Andre Williams, Rashad Jennings and Peyton Hillis, now of whom are considered blazers, although Jennings has speed, he is not as quick as Wilson.

Wilson had to retire after getting a neck injury and Hillis comes in after playing with the Giants last season and he was very solid last year coming in and helping with injuries. Hillis could be out for a while with an ankle injury and that could push Andre Williams and Michael Cox up on the depth chart. The Giants have bruisers and they may need a playmaker in the backfield and Spiller could be it.

The Giants have a new offense to get used to with Ben McAdoo, but so far the results have been promising and it appears that Eli Manning has a good grasp on what the team wants to do. The Giants needed a major change after the way last season went and that is why Kevin Gilbride retired and now Manning and the team has a new offense to run and it comes by way of the Green Bay Packers and they have been a very good offensive team over the past five years under Mike McCarthy. McAdoo last served as quarterbacks coach for the Packers and Aaron Rodgers has raved about him.
