The Chicago Bulls have made a number of moves this offseason to help Derrick Rose and after the trade package of Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic did not win out the Kevin Love trade, the team now has a chance to either make another trade or add more in free agency, as names like Ramon Sessions, Andray Blatche and Greg Oden remain on the market.

The Bulls have made a number of moves this offseason already, including the original trade for McDermott with the Nuggets and the team also signed Nikola Mirotic after drafting him a few years ago. The Bulls also added Aaron Brooks to the roster and that could be very big, as he is a solid option behind Derrick Rose and he could give the point guard some much needed breaks. Rose is coming back healthy for the first time in two years and playing a full season with full minutes could drain him and in a way, it makes Brooks one of the most important players on the roster.

The Bulls have a nearly full roster, but there is room for more and the team could look at Open and Blatche as options heading into the season for more depth at center. Joakim Noah is obviously a great player, but even he needs breaks and the team could add some more along with thinking about potential trades in the future. The team wants to make a run this season for a championship and after having Rose out for two years, they are thrilled that he looks ready to return to action. Rose will continue playing for USA Basketball this summer before joining back with the team.

Brooks signed after playing with the Rockets and Nuggets last season and he averaged 9.0 points and 3.2 assists per game. The team wanted an upgrade over Nate Robinson and D.J. Augustin from the past two seasons and now they have it in Brooks. McDermott also can come in at times and his shooting along with Brooks gives the Bulls some outside offensive options off the bench.

Adding Gasol was huge, as he can help make up for what Carlos Boozer did in the paint and he also is a much better offensive player than Boozer. Gasol was deciding between the Lakers, Knicks, Bulls and Spurs and he opted to sign in Chicago to play with Derrick Rose. Gasol can be a four quarter player for the Bulls after Boozer basically did not play in the final frame last year and he gives Gibson a chance to rest more and that could keep him healthy for the season.

The Bulls made a strong push for Kevin Love with the Cavaliers and the Timberwolves liked their deal, but they felt Cleveland's had more potential. The Bulls offered McDermott and Mirotic along with Gibson and while those players are very talented, the Wolves see Andrew Wiggins as a potential superstar player and they think he is the best they can get for Love right now. The team reportedly wanted Klay Thompson the most, but the Wolves could not convince the Warriors to let him go.
