The Los Angeles Angels and LA Dodgers are playing live on the MLB schedule on Monday night and interleague rivalry matchup has the Freeway series starting up for two games at Dodger Stadium at 10:10 pm ET with an ace matchup of Zack Greinke and Garrett Richards on the mound and the matchup is live online from Cali.
Greinke is one of the leaders in the NL in wins and ERA this season and the Dodgers are leading their division over the Giants and this gives the team a chance to matchup with one of the best in the AL. Richards and Greinke have been two of the best pitchers in the league and the Dodgers come in at 11th in the league in runs and they are in the top 10 in batting average and on base percentage, while the team is 10th in slugging percentage.
Clayton Kershaw is pitching after Greinke on Tuesday and the team comes into the week ranked near the top in nearly every pitching category. The team is sixth in ERA and fourth in quality starts and the team is coming into the game after a loss to the Cubs. The Angels are coming into the game after a win over the Tampa Bay Rays and Jered Weaver got the win for the team lead with 12 on the season and the Angels have been one of the most impressive teams in the league hitting the ball.
Mike Trout has 25 home runs this season and the team is ranked second in runs and third in batting average, while the team is ranked fifth in on base percentage and fourth in slugging percentage. The pitching has been much better in the bullpen and the team is ranked fifth in BAA this season.
The Dodgers and Angels are playing some great baseball this season out west and the Angels actually have more wins than the Dodgers and are just one game back in the division behind the Oakland Athletics. Greinke has been excellent against the Angels and he comes in with a 12-6 record with a 2.65 ERA and he matches up against Richards, who has an 11-4 record and a 2.74 ERA this season. Greinke has been fantastic for the Dodgers since signing after playing with the Angels he has allowed one run over the last 15 innings and he has struck out 23 batters.
