The Mariners did not give Felix run support last time out, as he gave up one run to the Padres and the team still lost and now he faces off against the Red Sox. The Athletics are leading the AL West and they are up five on the Angels and seven on the Mariners. The Tigers are up on the Royals after that Mariners sweep, while the Washington National have overtaken the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves in the NL East after some strong play.

The NL Central has the Brewers up 5.5 games on the Cardinals, while the Giants have a four game lead over the Dodgers after being up 10 and that has been due to their 3-7 record over their last 10 games. The American League wild card has the Angels, Orioles, Yankees and Mariners in position, while there are tons of teams in contention with even the Astros 7.5 games out. The National League wild card has the Dodgers and Cardinals in the two spots, while the Braves are 2.5 games out and the Reds are three out.
