The Miami Heat are on the brink of losing the NBA finals to the San Antonio Spurs and if that goes down there could be some major changes, as Carmelo Anthony, Lance Stephenson, Pau Gasol, Luol Deng and Zach Randolph all could be potential free agent targets for the team to add to LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and the Melo news is coming just as he is about to opt out of his contract with the Knicks in free agency.

The Heat lost back to back games in the playoffs for the first time in nearly 50 matchups and now they could lose to the Spurs 4-1 in the finals. According to ESPN.com, win or lose, the Heat are going to try and convince Carmelo Anthony to take a pay cut and sign as a free agent this summer, while names like Gasol and Stephenson are also options if that doesn't work. The report says that Melo would have to leave millions on the table to get it done and there is still a chance that he signs with someone else like the Houston Rockets or Chicago Bulls.

The Heat are down in the finals and if they end up losing they could blow up the team or at least work on bringing in some other players to join the Big 3. The team reportedly is looking at bringing Carmelo Anthony into the fold, but that would be very hard and very expensive even with a pay cut and they could look at some other players instead. James has said that he could be interested in playing with Melo, but a ton of things needs to play out for that to work and it could be too complicated for the team to get done and keep under the cap.

Anthony would be a great addition to the Big 3 and they clearly need some help, as LeBron James has just too much on his shoulders and while he is the best player in the world, he needs more. Gasol could be ideal since he may come cheap, but he could go to the Knicks with Phil Jackson after his time with the Lakers. Miami could use that size and Randolph also fits, but he could be too expensive if he leaves Memphis. Gasol is a winner and he would fit the mindset of the Heat very well.

Stephenson and Deng are options and while Stephenson and James went back and forth in the playoffs, Pat Riley will sign him if he feels he can help the team. Stephenson is talented and is likely too expensive for the Heat to bring in after the way he has established himself over the past few years for the Pacers. Stephenson is talented and bit crazy, but that could be exactly what the team needs. Deng is very versatile and while he will be pricey, he could be an option as well after playing for the Bulls and getting traded to the Cavs. Miami is going to have some major moves to make if they fall in the championship to the Spurs and that is close to happening now.
