Mexico won over Cameroon in their first match in Group A and they won 1-0 against the team after a goal from Oribe Peralta and there was controversy, as there were two goals wiped off from offside calls that later were seen to be incorrect and now the team gets ready for its next match in Brazil.

Mexico is now tied atop the group standings with Brazil and they have the inside track into the next stage from the group matchups after playing and they will matchup next with the host nation. The team should have had three goals on the day and that was as many as Brazil had when they opened with a 3-1 win against Croatia. That match also had a controversial call with a penalty kick.

Mexico overcame the rain and the fact that they have had a wild run into the World Cup, needing to win in a playoff against New Zealand to do it.
