Both Mexico an Cameroon are aware that every win is crucial in Group A. They are not exactly the favorites as Brazil is a lock to get out and Croatia has several players that can make some noise on the field. It will be up to either Mexico or Cameroon as the final team out of group play and the three points available on Friday are key to the effort.

Cameroon also snuck into the World Cup. Togo lost all of their points on a technicality, giving the team an in to the tournament. Forward Samuel Eto'o might be the most worldwide known figure on the roster and will be the biggest impact player on the Cameroon roster. He plays for Chelsea and found his prime during the English Premier League after dominating with Inter Milan and Barcelona. Cameroon's success hinges on how well he plays in this tournament. This game will be the best chance for Cameroon to get points in group play. They do not match up well against Brazil or Croatia so a win is crucial on Friday.

Mexico's veteran captain Rafael Marquez is in his fourth World Cup as a team captain and would love to get out of this tough group and on to the next round. Cameroon will get to know star Oribe Peralta very quickly. He is expected to make a big impact up front as a quick scorer while also being able to  nail in 25-yard kicks. He has been involved in a majority of the goals scored by Mexico recently. Pairing Peralta with Marquez's passing abilities has proved fruitful for the Mexico team despite the struggling in qualifying.

Mexico enters the World Cup having struggled during qualifying. They seemingly snuck in simply because the United States beat Panama in the final qualified and the team beat New Zealand in a home-and-home playoff. That will not stop the team from making sure they are a force this year as they prepare to face off against Cameroon in their first game of the tournament.
