NBA Trade Rumors 2014: Deron Williams, Ricky Rubio, Greg Monroe, Steve Nash, David Lee, Kenneth Faried, Josh Smith On Trading Block In Summer?

The NBA finals are playing out and that means trade rumors ahead of the offseason and names like Deron Williams, Greg Monroe, Steve Nash, David Lee, Kenneth Faried, Josh Smith, Arron Afflalo, Omer Asik, Jeremy Lin, Rajon Rondo and LaMarcus Aldridge could be on the trading block.

This offseason trade rumors could start flying around Kevin Love and teams that miss out on him could look at names like Rubio, Greg Monroe, Steve Nash and David Lee as options. Lee has been mentioned in connection with the Love deal, while Monroe is an restricted free agent and reports have the Pistons trading him and possibly Josh Smith over Andre Drummond.

The Lakers could trade Steve Nash but likely won't, while Rickey Rubio is likely off the market now that Flip Saunders has come in. If the team trades Love they probably won't trade Rubio. Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik are likely gone from Houston, while Rondo could get some attention from those same Rockets.

The Houston Rockets have some major moves to make, as they are hoping to get their hands on Kevin Love or Rajon Rondo and if those deals don't work out, they are hoping to snag Carmelo Anthony as a free agent. The team will need to make some trades no matter what happens, with Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin the most likely options to go. The team reportedly will decline the offer on Chandler Parsons option and that makes him a restricted free agent and the team will try and sign him back as well.

According to Yahoo Sports, the team is hoping to attract one big name free agent or a trade to give a Big 3 to Dwight Howard and James Harden and that is the goal for Daryl Morey this offseason. Parsons could sign back at a solid rate, but he will be getting offers and there is chance that the Rockets could lose him. The team put a high offer on Jeremy Lin a couple years ago that the Knicks could not match and now that could play out again with P{arsons. The team is likely to trade Asik and Lin, as they are making a ton of money and are coming into the last years of their contracts.

Last season the Rockets and Celtics nearly had a trade with Rajon Rondo, but Morey did not want to put Parsons in that deal and it broke down since the Celtics did not want to take on that much money. The Celtics have players and picks to use in trades and if they keep Rajon Rondo they have a chance at making moves and if they trade him they still should be in good position to build, but it will take some time if they get rid of him. The team has been rumored to be a wild card frontrunner for Kevin Love, as they have the draft picks to make a deal worth it for the Timberwolves, who have gone back and forth on what they want to do.
