Liverpool is coming off of an amazing year in the Premier League and now transfer rumors are starting to heat up as names like Mario Balotelli, Loic Remy, Adam Lallana, Pedro From Barcelona, Sardar Azmoun as well as Steven Caulker and Alberto Moreno could be in the mix after the team pulled off the Rickie Lambert deal and this comes after Luis Suarez nearly led the team to an EPL title.

Manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to get even better heading into next season and the Reds may start making moves, as the manager said that he is looking to quality signings this summer. Rodgers is in on a long term deal and he will remain with the club now for the foreseeable future and having Suarez in after the season he had will make things even more pressure packed next season. Rodgers said ownership has been strong about this summer and that means the team should be able to sway some names and they also can claim Champions League qualifying as another reason to come on over.

According to the Daily Mail and Sky Sports, some targets include Mario Balotelli, Loic Remy, Adam Lallana, Pedro from Barcelona and Sardar Azmoun among other players. Balotelli likely will not be moving, but eh appears frustrated with his treatment in Italy, while Lallana could move from Southampton. Cardiff central defender Steven Caulker and Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno are also considered targets and those are names that Rodgers could go after.

This past season Liverpool was right in the mix until the very end in the EPL, but they fell to Manchester City in the standings and ended up coming in second place. The season was a successful one and the team was very high scoring all year, but by the end they missed out after a very tough loss at home against Chelsea and that put the team too far out to catch up with Man City. The team had a chance with Crystal Palace if they held on for that game with a nice lead, but after going up 3-0, they ended up drawing 3-3 and that gave Man City the goal differential they needed.

Luis Suarez won numerous awards this season and he was the best player on the team, leading the EPL with 31 goals and he was very impressive all year after starting off with his ban for biting last season. Suarez also had 12 assists and Daniel Sturridge, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling were behind him in scoring, while Gerrard led in assists. The team finished two points back of Man City and had a 26-6-6 record this year while scoring 101 goals.
