Boston Celtics Rumors: Jeff Green Traded Over Rajon Rondo? Houston Rockets Target Chandler Parsons, Omer Asik Deal as Washington Wizard, Warriors Option

Danny Ainge loves to remain coy on which players of the Boston Celtics are available for dealing. He denied the dealings of Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce last season down to the final minute which makes most believe that everyone is available for the right price. Rajon Rondo is the most expensive while Jared Sullinger could be the cheapest. However, most of the interest outside of Rondo is revolving around Jeff Green.

According to Mark Murphy over at the Boston Herald, Green is "eminently available" for trades. Ainge is aware that Green's stock is very high right now after he led the team with 16.9 points per game. He was the go-to scorer even with Rondo back on the court while his defensive skills shined with 4.6 rebounds per game. His cap friendly salary is another plus as the forward is set to make $9.2 million per season over the next two years. Given his versatility, the Celtics would prefer to trade him over Rondo or Sullinger in the offseason.

The Houston Rockets could be interested in striking a deal with Boston. The Rockets disappointed this season and are in need of another player that can create his own shots outside of Dwight Howard and James Harden. HoopsHabit.com notes the two sides have discussed a possible deal in the past, mainly circling around Rondo. In order to get Green, the Rockets could offer up Omer Asik, a player the Celtics have considered in the past. They might also have to throw in someone like Chandler Parsons who is also available for dealing with one year left on his contract despite fans dismay.

The Washington Wizards also have some interest in Green. According to Grantland's Zach Lowe, the Wizards have been interested in Green for some time now and are just waiting for him to become officially available. Much of the Wizards interest could come after the future of Trevor Ariza is decided. He is a free agent this summer and retaining him while getting Green would just create redundancy at the wing. Washington would be a fit, but they do not have the pieces to strike a deal.

The Golden State Warriors could show interest given how much versatility Green has. Despite having several small forwards on the roster, Green is the more complete player, offering talent on both ends of the court. The Warriors could package in a young player like Harrison Barnes to held with rebuilding.
