The Tampa Bay Rays are still dealing with issues in their pitching rotation and so far nothing they are doing is helping fix it. Jeremy Hellickson has yet to see the field. Matt Moore and Alex Cobb are now on the disabled list and before the Rays could blink, they were down three pitching prospects with little help to replace them. The team put Erik Bedard in as a starter and after two disastrous starts, he might be turning things around.

Bedard is now on a three-game win streak for the first time in years. His contract was purchased on April 13. In his first two starts, he went 0-1 with a 9.39 ERA. However, in his last three starts, he is 2-0 with a 1.06 ERA and things are starting to look up for the pitcher who claims he is merely just a slow starter and fans should not panic. He is coming off his best start of the year. Bedard gave up just one hit over six scoreless innings as Tampa Bay beat Cleveland.

His history against Los Angeles is positive. He gave up just one run over seven innings when he was pitching for Houston which improved him to 3-1 with a 1.75 ERA against the team in the last four games. The Rays have had some solid pitching over the last few games and remain hopeful that Bedard can continue that success.

The Angels will send Tyler Skaggs to the mound who is 3-1 with a 4.14 ERA on the season. He had a strong outing against Toronto, putting up three runs off four hits while throwing into the ninth innings. Skaggs has issues playing at home which could hurt him in this start. The pitcher is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA in four starts at home, while pitching 3-0 with a 1.57 ERA in three starts on the road. The Angels are fresh off a sweep against Philadelphia and aim to keep the momentum going.
