The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins are playing game 7 of their NHL playoffs series on Wednesday night and the matchup starts at 7 pm ET from TD Garden and has the series tied 3-3 and the game is streaming from the NBC Sports Live Extra website and comes as the NY Rangers won over the Pittsburgh Penguins to advance to the eastern conference finals.

Boston is looking to avoid the upset and either way, whoever wins this series will have home ice advantage over the Rangers. The Bruins had the lead in the series and were up 3-2 before losing badly in Game 6 with a score of 4-0 and now they have to win at home to get through to the conference finals and they will have to watch out for P.K. Subban, who has been on fire all playoffs and in this series, including two goals in the first game and one of those was the winning goal in overtime.

The two teams have met 34 times in the playoffs and the Canadiens have won 24 overall in 33 series and now Boston is looking to tip that a bit in their favor and this would fit into the more recent matchup's, as they have won seven of 11 series agonist Montreal and two in a row and that makes this game even more important. Subban has been great and he is leading Montreal in all offensive categories, including assists and points, while Thomas Vanek just pulled ahead in goals and Max Pacioretty is leading in shots.

Patrice Bergeron is tops in shots for Boston, while Torey Krug has the most assists and points and Milan Lucic is first in goals. The Bruins know what it takes to win the Cup and they made it there last season before losing to the Blackhawks and during that they made a Game 7 comeback against the Maple Leafs, so no lead will be safe until the bell rings at zero.

The Rangers are now into the next round and they will play against the winner of this series and now both sides will have played the same amount in the second round. The Bruins played five in the first round and Montreal played four on their way to sweeping the Lightning and now these two will play seven and this comes after NY was able to upset Pitt on the road for the win in the series on Monday. The Rangers fought history and played with it, as they had won four straight Game 7 matchups and the Pens had lost three straight at home.

The Rangers did a good job on locking down Sidney Crosby and now he heads home after the series and this season the rangers went 1-1-1 against Montreal and 0-3-0 against the Bruins. Boston is the top seed in the NHL and this would be a big upset for the team if they lost to Montreal, especially with the game at home. Martin St. Louis helped inspire the Rangers after his mother passed away and the story could get even more intense, as St. Louis is from Montreal and could play there in the next round.
