NY Rangers vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Live Stream: Watch Online NHL Playoffs Streaming Game 7

May 13, 2014 06:48 PM EDT

The NY Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins are playing on the NHL playoffs schedule on Tuesday and the Game 7 matchup comes as the series is tied 3-3 and New York is looking to win 4-3 to advance to the eastern conference finals and the matchup starts at 7 pm ET on the NBC Sports Network and has a live stream from the NBCSN live extra website and comes live from CONSOL Energy Arena as Martin St. Louis and Sidney Crosby go head to head.

The Rangers suffered a power outage on offense in the middle of the series and they have finally stormed back and have now forced a Game 7 after being down 3-1 for the first time in over 50 years. There is a ton of history coming in and out of this game, as the Rangers have never beaten the Penguins in a playoffs series and they also have never won a series down 3-1 even after forcing the Game 7 matchup.

The Penguins have all the pressure, as they are the home team, the better seed and the team that was up 3-1 in the series and they will have to find a way to pull together to win the series., The Penguins have been in this situation before with a Game 7 and the past two times that it's played out, the team has lost and that was against the Lightning and the Montreal Canadiens over the past few years and that adds even more pressure on the team. Crosby scored his first goal of the playoffs in this series, but he has been mostly quite apart from that and in Game 6 the Rangers did a very good job at keeping him at bay.

The Rangers played tough on Sunday night and St. Louis scored a goal just days after his mother died and after getting a second goal from Carl Hagelin, the team was rolling. The Penguins cut it with a goal they put in off a Ranger skate, but the team was able to respond and Derek Brassard scored an acrobatic goal and that was enough to get by and Henrik Lundqvist was fantastic with 36 saves and he has played well historically in Game 7 matchups. The Rangers have experience in this situation, as they have won their last four Game 7's and one was in the last series against the Flyers, although that one was at home at the Garden.

Lundqvist plays well in Game 7 games and he also plays well in elimination games and the team will need that to come into focus on Tuesday for a chance to win. The team has some good fortune to look back on, as Tuesday is the anniversary of the team winning Game 7 two years ago against the Capitals 5-0 and that will be something the team looks back on as they try to win tonight. The Rangers and Penguins series has been tough for each home team and now the Rangers have the chance to win three on the road and the series has also been decided in each game by who scores the first goal, meaning each side will be aggressive out of the gate.
