The 2014 World Cup schedule and start date for Brazil is in less than a month and as the construction continues to get finished, teams are preparing for their preliminary matches and roster cut downs as the tournament is starting in less than a month with the first match coming between Brazil and Croatia and that begins on June 12.
The United States has the toughest travel schedule and hardest group in the tournament, while the Brazilian team has a favorable toad to the next round with Group A having Mexico, Cameroon and Croatia. The US team has to deal with Germany. The Thursday start has Brazil before three matches on Friday and that includes Group B and the rest of Group A and the opening week of the schedule has each of the groups playing in order until all that plays out and some of the matches on the first Saturday include England taking on Italy and Costa Rica playing Uruguay.
Group E has some tough teams with France and Honduras playing their first match against each other, while the Swiss and Ecuador play in that group as well. Argentina has a favorable first matchup against Bosnia, while Iran and Nigeria play before the US opens their campaign. The US has the hardest spot in Group G, as they have to travel more than any other team at the tournament and they have to deal with Germany, Ghana and Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone thinks that this is the group of death.

The tournament is expected to start on schedule despite the fact that many stadiums and sites are not ready, things will go forward as planned and the fixtures and group schedule matches will start on June 12 and the first match has Brazil taking on Croatia in the Group A set that will kick off the tournament.
The schedule has a number of great opening matches to start the tournament, including the United States taking on Ghana in the group of death and some other matches includes the Mexican team taking on Cameroon, Chile playing Australia as well as England and Italy, Colombia against Greece, Spain against the Netherlands and Germany against Portugal. The travel schedule is expected to be tough for teams and fans and the US has the most to deal with.
