New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming Baseball MLB Fenway Game ESPN At 7 PM

Apr 23, 2014 06:46 PM EDT

The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox continue their series on Wednesday and the ESPN TV game will be live at 7 pm ET from Fenway Park and streaming from the WatchESPN website for the MLB baseball schedule and comes after Jacoby Ellsbury made his return to the city and now Michael Pineda will pitch against John Lackey in the matchup.

The Yankees come into the game playing very well as of late and they won over the Red Sox 9-3 after some power from around the lineup, including a triple from Ellsbury and a home run from Carlos Beltran and now the team is looking good heading into their next stretch. The Yankees won against John Lester and now Masahiro Tanaka is 3-0 in the big leagues and he has not lost since before last year in Japan and he is looking like the real deal as well.

The Yankees lost Ivan Nova to Tommy John surgery and that means they need Pineda now more than ever and so far he has been excellent on the mound. Pineda has gone at least six innings in all three of his starts this season and he already beat Boston while striking out seven batters at the Stadium while giving up a home run to Daniel Nava, but after that game all the talk was about the substance on his hand, but no one made a big deal of it in the game and now he is looking to fully put that behind him with another start against the Sox.

Pineda last pitched against the Cubs and he went six innings and gave up zero runs at the Stadium and got the win in that game and he is 2-1 with a 1.00 ERA after missing all of last season with a shoulder injury and that must be very exciting for the Yankees. The trade of Pineda for Jesus Montero now looks like a steal and Pineda has the chance to be an anchor in the rotation for years and every time he pitches the Mariners front office must die a little on the inside. The Yankees are 23rd in ERA this season, but they are 10th overall in quality starts and 13th in WHIP with the team 17th in BAA.

Lackey comes into the game at 2-2 on the season with 5.25 ERA and his last start saw him give up six runs in five innings and he took the loss against the Baltimore Orioles. The team is last in the division right now and the Yankees can put the gap between them a little farther with a win on Wednesday. The Yankees come into the game hitting the ball well and they are 13th in runs scored and third overall in batting average and they are also very good in on base and slugging, as they are in the top 10 for the first one and in the top four for slugging percentage this season.
