Apr 20, 2014 12:12 PM EDT

The NY Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers are playing live in the eastern conference playoffs on Sunday afternoon and the game comes from Madison Square Garden at 12 pm noon and the matchup will be streaming live online from the NBC Sports Live Extra website and it comes as New York has a 1-0 lead in the series and they are looking to go up 2-0 with a win in the game on Sunday.

The Rangers scored two power play goals in the first game and Brad Richards had three points to lead the way and now they are trying to take a commanding lead as they try to win both games at MSG. The Rangers kept the Flyers to one shot in the third period and they kept Flyers captain Claude Giroux to zero shot overall and that has happened three times to him against the Rangers and he has not scored in his last nine games at MSG and the offense for the Flyers has been lacking lately. Ray Emery will be in the net for the Flyers again with Steve Mason out and that gives the Rangers a big advantage, as they have Henrik Lundqvist in goal.

The Rangers came in second in the division ahead of the Flyers and they will try and match Montreal, who has a 2-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning, while the Detroit Red Wings lead the Bruins 1-0 and the Sharks lead the Kings 1-0 and those series will also be in action on Sunday and it comes after the St. Louis Blues took a 2-0 lead over the Blackhawks, while Columbus and Pitt are tied 1-1 after an overtime game and the Avalanche are up 2-0 on the Wild. The Flyers come in after ranking eighth in goals per game and they were in the top 10 in penalty kill and power play percentage and the team was 20th in goals against and now they will try and bounce back against the Rangers.

Brad Richards is playing much better than he did in the playoffs last season when he was mostly a mess and he led the team this season in scoring and now he has the chance to do it in the playoffs. Richards is one of the best passers in the game and the team comes in as one of the best defensive teams in the league, as they were ranked third in penalty kill percentage and the team was fourth in goals against this season and the next game in the series is on Tuesday and that will be at 8 pm in Philly. The team was ranked 18th in scoring and 15th in power play percentage and these two teams have no love lost and with Emery in net, the Flyers will have to help him out, as Emery had over 30 saves and Lundqvist needed to make just 14 overall.
