The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat have been battling all season and now the two teams face off Friday night on NBATV and the game starts up at 7:30 pm ET from AmericanAirlines Arena in South Florida and will be streaming from the NBA.com League Pass and this game is huge for the playoffs in the east and it could help decide who gets home court advantage in the postseason for 2014 as LeBron James battles Paul George and Roy Hibbert.

The Heat have been chasing the Pacers in the standings all season, but now Indiana is back in the lead for the time with a half game advantage after winning over the Bucks and that came as the team rested all of their starters, while Miami lost to Memphis and now they are chasing again. Miami is not worried about losing home court of playing the Pacers, as they have won over them already in a seven game series and are the two time defending champions, while the Pacers have won absolutely nothing and have not shown they can beat the Heat. The Pacers have been falling apart this month as they limp to the finish and the pressure of everyone telling them how great they are and how they are better than the Heat may finally be getting into their heads.

The biggest challenge will be tonight, as the Pacers can help lock up home court with a win, but a loss will be a huge motivation for the Heat and that could give them some unstoppable momentum heading into the playoffs. Paul George has been a shell of himself lately and the Heat have been playing well and LeBron James comes in after leading the team with 37 points, six rebounds and five assists in the game against the Grizzlies and they next will play a back to back with the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday after the game against the Pacers.

Miami comes in scoring over 100 points per game and while they are ranked 30th in rebounding, the team is 10th in assists per game and they are also sixth in defense while allowing just 97 per contest. The Pacers are ranked second in defense and they are 24th in scoring and that will be where the game turns on Friday night. The team won after 24 points and nine rebounds from Luis Scola, while Evan Turner added nine assists and now they are coming into the game against the Heat before they play another prime matchup against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder and that will be at home in Indianapolis at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Pacers and the Heat had an amazing battle in the playoffs last season and that saw Miami win out in seven games after Indiana took a lead and now they are matching up at the end of the season. Indiana comes in at seventh in the NBA in rebounding but they are 28th in assists and that has been a huge issue for the team. The East is basically Miami, Indiana and everyone else and now they will play against each other to see who is best.
