Oscar Pistorius Trial Live Stream: Watch Online Murder Case Court Streaming South Africa Reeva Steenkamp Defense

Oscar Pistorius and his defense team are set to present his side of things in the murder case of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in South Africa and it comes after a week break in court after one of the judge's assessors became sick and now things pick up with the chance of the Olympian staking the stand this week and the trial live stream is online from ESPN on the WatchESPN website.

According to ESPN.com, a pathologist involved in the case will testify first on Monday rather than Pistorius, as Prof. Jan Botha will be the first witness they call. The report says that Botha is likely to take the stand first and that Pistorius' only chance at getting a good verdict in the case is by giving his side of the story. Pistorius has already admitted that he killed his girlfriend and because of the circumstances he must present that he was intending to defend himself and if he is convicted for premeditated murder, he could go to jail for 25 years to life.

The story from Pistorius's side is that he thought Steenkamp was an intruder in the bathroom and he thought his girlfriend was still in bed when he shot four times into the bathroom door. The prosecution presented a number of witnesses that claimed they heard shouting and a woman's scream from the house along with gunshots, while the defense claims some of those noises were Pistorius himself and the crack of a rugby bat.

There has always been a chance that Pistorius and Steenkamp's lawyers could come to a settlement agreement, but it is more likely that it will happen after the trial is finished and ESPN.com reports that a settlement could be in the mid six figured from the Pistorius side. Pistorius has been visibly upset at times in the courtroom when the sides have been describing the crime and what happened to Steenkamp and that is one reason why Pistorius is likely to not take the stand first on Monday.
