New York Giants Draft Rumors: Mike Evans, Eric Ebron 2014 Targets As Rueben Randle, Damontre Moore, Johnathan Hankins Expect Breakout Years

The New York Giants are coming into the NFL draft with a number of questions on offense and that is why many think the team will look to draft someone like Mike Evans, Eric Ebron or Marqise Lee with their number 12 pick and Jerry Reese is expecting young players like Rueben Randle, Damontre Moore and Johnathan Hankins to step up and breakout this season.

The Giants have the number 12 pick in the draft and they are likely going to stick there and go with an offensive pick after Eli Manning had a tough season and with new coordinator Ben McAdoo coming in, they will be looking to add weapons on offense. Evans is considered a potential top 10 pick and he is a physical freak and so is Ebron and he could add a huge element to the team at tight end, something they have been lacking over the past few years. If Evans is gone and Ebron is there, that could be the pick.

Last season the Giants took Justin Pugh so they likely will avoid a lineman, but with a number of question marks around Chris Snee, John Jerry and Will Beatty, the team could look to that position. Geoff Schwartz and JD Walton are two new additions to the line and they will be looking to give Eli Manning the protection that he sorely backed last season. Randle could be a breakout player, as the team let Hakeem Nicks go and now he will be the number two receiver with Victor Cruz and it comes after he had 41 catches for 611 yards and six touchdowns last season.

The team let Linval Joseph and Justin Tuck go this offseason in free agency and that means they will expect Damontre Moore and Johnathan Hankins to step up after they were drafted last season. The line needs to be strong on both sides of the ball and Moore comes in after making 11 tackles last season, while Hankins had 16 and they combined for zero sacks and they will need more production than that.
