Liverpool and Tottenham are playing live on the English Premier League schedule in the late game Sunday and the match from the Anfield for the Reds and Spurs starts up at 11 am ET and is the final of the weekend and Luis Suarez and company can get to first place on the EPL table after Chelsea fell against Crystal Palace.

Liverpool has a huge opportunity on Sunday and it has been a long road for Steven Gerrard at trying to win a Premier League title and now the Reds have the chance to jump into first place this late in the season after being atop the table earlier around New Years. Arsenal was leading for the majority of the season before slowing down and then Chelsea moved to the top of the league table and they have been playing very well, but they lost on Saturday to Crystal Palace for the first time in years and now they are just one point ahead and could fall behind with another win by Liverpool. Gerrard and Luis Suarez have been playing extremely well and they are the highest scoring team in the EPL this season, with Suarez scoring the most goals in the league.

Suarez has been playing extremely well and he will be the main focus on Sunday and e is leading the team with 28 goals and 11 assists, while Daniel Sturridge has 20 goals and seven assists, with the elder statesman Gerrard this in scoring with 11 goals and second with nine assists. Liverpool is one point behind Chelsea now after the Blues lost and they have the chance to jump on top or tie atop the league table with a positive result against Tottenham and it comes after the team won against Sunderland 2-1 at the Anfield last week. The team has won all their Premier League matches since a 2-1 loss against Arsenal on the road and since then Liverpool has won over Swansea City, Southampton, Manchester United and Cardiff City before the win against Sunderland. Liverpool has a tough schedule coming up and they have some very important matchups, including with Manchester City and Chelsea at the Anfield before finishing with Newcastle United.

The Spurs come into the game after a win at home against Southampton and before that they had a draw with Benfica in the Europa League and they play against Sunderland at home after the trip to play the Reds and down the stretch they have Fulham, Stoke City and Aston Villa. Tottenham lost earlier in the season at home with five goals from Liverpool and that was back in December when the Reds were pushing to the top of the table and now they are in position to do that again with the Spurs.

Suarez and Daniel Sturridge have been very strong and they have over 50 combined goals together and the Reds have been scoring more consistently than anyone, avoiding a shutout in over 20 matches and they are looking to win an EPL title for the first time in 20 years. Liverpool has pressure on Sunday and after having another hat trick a couple weeks ago, Suarez will be ready to score again in the matchup with Tottenham.
