The NY Jets are finally starting to add some talent now that Mark Sanchez is gone and after signing Eric Decker, the team has looked into a DeSean Jackson trade with the Philadelphia Eagles and there is a chance they could trade up in the NFL draft to take another receiver like Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jordan Matthews, Marqise Lee or Allen Robinson in the first round.

The Jets have had weak spots at the skill positions for some time and after bringing in Decker it looks like the team is trying to go all out, as they signed Michael Vick and now has expressed interest in trading for his old buddy DeSean Jackson. According to ESPN.com, it's still not certain that Jackson will get traded, but owner Woody Johnson and Rex Ryan have expressed interest in acquiring him and now that the team has received some compensatory picks, there is a chance they could pull the trigger.

The Jets got four compensatory picks coming up for the draft and ESPN.com speculates that the team could use that flexibility to make a deal. The picks they get can't be traded, but now their other picks could be used in a deal and that would keep them from depleting their entire draft if they opt to make a move. The Jets now have 12 picks and with the draft being so deep they could end up being a big player come May and they are adding a fourth-round pick and three picks in the sixth round and that now could give them a blueprint to pull off the trade or they could look to move up in the draft to take one of the rookie wideouts.

The Jets would love to add Jackson, who had one of his best seasons last year with 82 catches for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns, but if the Eagles opt to keep him, they could fall in love with one of the other wideouts in the draft, which has a deep roster of names. Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jordan Matthews, Marqise Lee or Allen Robinson are some of the top players, but Kelvin Benjamin, Jarvis Landry, Sammy Watkins and Odell Beckham Jr. are also in the mix and if the Jets feel that one of those players are worth it, they could trade up.

Watkins is likely too far out of reach, but the name that keeps coming up is Mike Evans and a lot of teams are looking at him as a potential target. Evans has size and speed and after his season at Texas A&M, he looks like he is ready to be a great NFL player. Lee has all the skills coming out of college, while Matthews and Cooks are both considered to be very good players as well, with Cooks putting up some amazing numbers of 128 catches for nearly 1,750 yards. Jackson would obviously be a huge upgrade, but reports now have the Eagles likely keeping the receiver after not getting a deal they liked and now the Jets could slide over and start looking at Evans as the player to trade up for.
