The North Carolina Tar Heels are coming into their game against Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament third round and UNC has a chance for the Sweet 16 and the game starts at 5:15 pm ET-ish and streaming on the March Madness website from the AT&T Center in San Antonio and Roy Williams is looking to get past ISU to get to the Sweet 16 this year.

North Carolina has had a very good season and they played one of the best games of the tournament already in the previous round, as they won over Providence in a 79-77 win and they now are playing against Iowa State for the chance to play against UConn after they defeated Villanova to get into the Sweet 16. James Michael McAdoo was very good in the last game and he has been the leading scorer all season and now he comes in after grabbing 10 rebounds against the Friars and now he will be the focus for UNC as they matchup with Iowa on Sunday.

The team comes in after going 24-9 during the season and 13-5 in the ACC and they have been one of the most consistent offensive teams in the nation this season, averaging well over 70 points per game and they are ranked in the top 50 in scoring this season. The team has size up front and that has been a big advantage for the team and they are ranked in the top 10 in rebounding with 40 rebounds per game and they are ranked 25th in assists and are shooting over 46 percent from the floor this season as a team. The defense has been solid and they are allowing 70 points per game and are averaging seven steals per game and now the team matches up with a solid Cyclones team that come in as the number three seed in the east region, while UNC is at number six and they now are into things over Duke and Syracuse, who have already lost in the tournament.

Iowa State won the Big 12 tournament this season and they came in third in the conference and they come into the matchup after winning against North Carolina Central and they are 27-7 on the season and went 11-7 in the conference and they too have been one of the best offensive teams in the country. Iowa State has been even better than North Carolina and they could be a sleeper team in the tournament going forward if they can win to get into the Sweet 16.

The team is averaging over 80 points per game and they rank sixth in the nation in scoring and first in assists per game and they are also in the top 25 in rebounding and that will make for a solid battle with UNC and they are also shooting over 47 percent, ranking 40th in the nation. ISU has won five straight games and this could be one of the closer matchups of the tournament and after upsets like Dayton, Stanford and Tennessee, these teams have the chance to advance as some of the lower seeds and in the south Florida is basically the only top team left and that should make for an interesting Sweet 16 all around.
