The NFL free agent class still has names like Knowshon Moreno, LeGarrette Blount, Maurice Jones-Drew and Andre Brown on the market and teams like the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are targets for the running backs as things push into April and signings of those players could be coming within a week or so.

The Giants signed Rashad Jennings and the Cleveland Browns signed Ben Tate, leaving Moreno as the best name on the market and as of right now the Denver Broncos are not looking to bring him back. According to ESPN.com, Moreno met with the Dolphins and Blount met with the Steelers and both of those teams could be in the market for the two players, as each dealt with some tough production last season at running back. The Dolphins ranked 26th in the NFL in rushing and that puts them in the mix for Moreno, who set career highs with over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns last season for the Broncos.

Blount is coming off of a very solid year with the Patriots and according to Pro Football Talk, the Steelers met with him and he could sign by next week to join Le'Veon Bell in the backfield. Blount is 27 years old and he doesn't have as much wear and tear as other backs after not being a starter early in his career and he rushed for 772 yards last season and has scored 20 touchdowns in his career. Blount averaged an impressive 5.0 yards per carry and didn't even make $1 million last season and he could be a bargain at this point with how long her has been on the market. Maurice Jones-Drew was in Pittsburgh for a visit and he remains unsigned as well and he could be an option for the Dolphins along with Moreno.

The Dolphins used Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas at running back last season and they gained only 90 yards per game and adding Moreno could bring a new element to the offense, especially as a receiver out of the backfield. Moreno set career highs with his first 1,000 yard season and 10 touchdowns and he also set marks in receiving yards and receptions and the Dolphins and Ryan Tannehill sure could use that in the offense. The offensive line got a makeover after giving up 58 sacks last season and adding another running back behind the new line could help open up the offense this season.
