Mexico comes into the match after Oribe Peralta led the team in FIFA World Cup CONCACA qualifying and now they are into the World Cup and they have three more friendly matchups coming after the game against Nigeria. The team comes in after dominating over South Korea in their friendly earlier in January and that was a 4-0 win and now they play against Nigeria and then they have a game with the United States and that will be in April at University of Phoenix Stadium.

That comes before their friendly ahead of the World Cup and that will be against Ecuador at AT&T Stadium. The team also has two more coming before the actual World Cup starts and that comes a week out, as they play Bosnia-Herzegovina at Soldier Field in Chicago and then against Portugal at Gillette Stadium and that will be a huge match, as Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing for the Portugal side.

Mexico ended up in the World Cup after the United States helped them out, as the team needed the US to win over an opponent to knock them out of contention and then the team took care of business against New Zealand. The team had to finish up against New Zealand to confirm their spot and they won both matches by the score of 9-3 combined and now they are through to the tournament. Mexico has a tough road in the World Cup as well, as they are in the same group as the host nation and that is always tough.

Brazil is the Group A team to keep an eye on and along with Mexico the group has Cameroon and Croatia and with the Brazilian team very motivated, Mexico will have to play their best. The team opens with a match on that first Friday against Cameroon and then the team plays against Brazil and that will be at Estadio Castelão before they play against Cameroon at Arena Pernambuco.

Kalu Uche is leading Nigeria in scoring in the friendly matchups and they played against Italy and pulled a draw in their friendly earlier in the schedule and now they play against Mexico ahead of the World Cup. The team made it through the African Nations Cup and now they have a tough World Cup set, as they are in Group F and they play along with Iran, Argentina and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Bosnian team is making their debut and the Nigerians will be one of the favorites with Argentina and Lionel Messi and they play Bosnia in their second match and then they play Argentina in their final matchup at Estadio Beira-Rio.
