Aaron Hernandez, former player for the NFL's New England Patriots football team, arrives in the courtroom for his arraignment in Fall River, Massachusetts in this file photo taken September 6, 2013. Hernandez, charged with shooting a friend to death last year, was involved in a Massachusetts jailhouse scuffle with another inmate that left neither man seriously injured, law enforcement officials said on Wednesday."

Aaron Hernandez is having quite the week after being out of the headlines for a little while, as the former Patriots tight end was in a jailhouse fight that landed him in isolation for a month and after that, news broke that the families of double murder victims Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado are suing him for wrongful death.

According to ESPN.com, Hernandez was in an altercation at Bristol County Jail this week and it came after he was unshackled in a common hallway and got into a physical "altercation" with another inmate that apparently had been harassing him that day. Sources spoke to NECN.com and said that the inmate Hernandez attacked was restrained and Hernandez was not and part of the reason it happened was a possible "breakdown" in protocol, as Hernandez was in a common area and usually only one inmate at a time should be out of their cells in that area, clearly that did not happen here.

The Sheriff, Tom Hodgson, said that the protocols were not followed and there was a breakdown of sorts involved and that he would look into it. Hernandez now will be in isolation for 30 days and that means he will be in cell for most of the day and has to eat his meals there and it also means that he will always be in waist chains and leg irons when out of his cell and before this, he was allowed out at times without being cuffed.

According to ESPN.com, Hernandez has other legal issues to worry about, as he has been sued by the families of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Henrnadez is facing first degree murder charges for the death of Odin Lloyd and those two victims were from a double murder the year before that possibly is related. Hernandez has not been charged in that crime but there is some evidence tying him to it and he is considered a person of interest by authorities in that case.
