The NBA trade deadline is over and that means focus is back on the free agent market after buyouts and teams looking for some depth may turn to players like Jimmer Fredette, Drew Gooden, Earl Clark, Chris Wilcox, Antawn Jamison, Ike Diogu, Metta World Peace or Beno Udrih and the Washington Wizards, San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks and Miami Heat could be potential destinations.

The Wizards are looking like the most likely team to sign someone, as they have lost Nene for at least six weeks to an injury and that could spark a move as they push towards the playoffs for the first time in six years. Fredette could be an option after the team was looking for some depth behind John Wall and his release from the Kings on a buyout comes after he was drafted three years ago and never really took hold of a position on the team.

The Kings tried hard to trade him, but they could not find any takers and now Fredette could sign with a playoff contender like the Spurs. The Wizards are going to make a move after losing Nene and he will be out with a sprained MCL and this comes after he has averaged 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while playing in nearly 50 games this season. Trevor Ariza and Kevin Seraphin are on the roster now and they will make up the difference until the team can sign someone, while having Marcin Gortat softens the blow a bit.

Clark was traded and waived in the Spencer Hawes move and he could be an option for teams that miss out on the top free agents, including the Knicks and the Heat. Clark is a solid player and could help off the bench, while Wilcox could help a team looking for size in the middle and as a big man he could help the Wizards. Udrih and Metta World Peace are now on the market as well and Fredette is interesting, as he is averaging six points per game this season. Fredette had a great game last week against the Knicks and as a great three point shooter, he should find a home somewhere.
