The Houston Rockets and LA Lakers are playing in Los Angeles on ESPN on Wednesday night and the NBA game is streaming live online from the Staples Center and is the return of Dwight Howard to his old team and the way things have gone, it's clear why he left in the first place.
The team comes into the game after a win against the Wizards before the All-Star break and the team next will play on the road against the Golden State Warriors and they have been playing very well this season and are second in their division. Howard has been great for the Rockets and they are a legit title contender in the west and they are ranked third in the NBA in scoring this season and eighth in rebounding.
The team comes in after the close win against the Wiz and that saw 35 points from James Harden and 16 rebounds from Howard and while the team is 19th in defense, the Lakers have been terrible.
The Lakers come into the game without Kobe Bryant and the team lost their last game to the Thunder and that saw Chris Kaman lead with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Kendall Marshall had 17 assists and they next will play against the Boston Celtics and that comes at the Staples Center on Friday. The team comes in ranked 15th in scoring and 29th in points allowed and they are eighth in assists per game and now they have to try and pull themselves out of things, as they have just 18 wins all season.
The Rockets look like a team ready to make a jump and they have been heavily mentioned in trade rumors this season and time will tell if they pull off a deal.
