The Seattle Seahawks free agent situation is not as drastic as it was for the Baltimore Ravens after they won the Super Bowl last season, but they have some names to worry about on both sides of the ball, including Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate, Michael Bennett, Tarvaris Jackson, Michael Robinson, and Tarvaris Jackson, while Richard Sherman's contract is also a priority.

The Seahawks won the Super Bowl on the strength of their defense and that's what makes Bennett and Sherman top priorities for Pete Carroll and John Schneider. Bennett was a force all season and in the playoffs, while Sherman showed that he is one of the top corners in the league and he will be eligible for a contract later in the year and an extension could be in order, as he is making less than $2 million next season after being a Pro Bowler. Bennett said he is not planning on giving the team a discount and they very much would like to keep him.

The Seahawks had the top ranked defense in the league last season and their offense was very efficient as well, with Russell Wilson leading the way. Percy Harvin will be fully healthy next season and both Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin are free agents and one of those players is likely to be gone in the spring. Tate said he would be willing to take a cut to stay and he has shown to be a valuable player as well.

Jackson is an important player to the team as the backup to Wilson, while Michael Robinson proved to be an integral member of the team could come back as well. Kellen Davis played in 17 games during last season and the playoffs and with Zach Miller being the primary tight end, he is likely gone, as is Anthony McCoy. Wilson will be in line for a contract extension after next season and he will be ready to cash in.
