Feb 05, 2014 06:14 PM EST

Nebraska and Michigan will be playing live on Wednesday night and the live stream of the college basketball game for the Wolverines will be streaming from the Big Ten Network and comes as the team lost their last game against Indiana and it wasn't a close one and that was their first lost within the conference and now they are looking to rebound at the Crisler Center at 6:30 pm ET.

The Wolverines come into the game scoring 76 points per contest and they have been one of the best shooting teams in the nation and now they have the chance to host Nebraska after visiting Indiana and losing to the Hoosiers. The team comes in 8-1 in the conference and 16-5 overall and the Wolverines are ranked in the top 10, while the Cornhuskers are 3-5 on the season in the conference and 11-9 overall and after playing this game at home, Michigan faces another ranked team in Iowa on Saturday and that will be at the Hawkeyes. Michigan is shooting better than 48 percent this season and the defense has been solid while allowing just 64 points per game, but the blocks and steals are not where the coaching staff would like it.

The team has a tough schedule coming up and they play against two ranked teams in the next four games and at one point this little stretch had all four teams ranked in the top 25. After playing on the road against Iowa the team visits rival Ohio State as the Buckeyes are struggling and then after that the team hosts Wisconsin, who was previously ranked and then they play against Michigan State and they are currently ranked ninth in the nation. The end of the schedule has Purdue as well as Minnesota and then Illinois and Indiana to end the season. Nik Stauskas has once again been excellent and he leads the team in scoring and assists and will be the focal point of the offense on Wednesday night.

Nebraska comes in after playing against Indiana as well and they won their game by five points, but it will be a struggle against the Wolverines, as the Huskers average less than 70 points per game and are 330th in the nation in assists. The defense is averaging 67 points allowed per game, but they are facing a tough Wolverines team and the game on Wednesday night could get one sided. Michigan and Michigan State are tied at the top of the Big Ten conference standings and winning this game getting into the stretch for Michigan would be huge. Nebraska next plays against Northwestern and then has tough games on the road against Michigan State as well as Illinois and Indiana to finish the season.
