Barcelona is taking on Real Sociedad live on Wednesday in the Spanish Copa del Rey semifinals and the match is streaming live from Camp Nou and features Lionel Messi coming back from his injury at full strength and comes after Real Madrid played earlier in the day and this is to move on into the finals and the match will be going on at 4 pm ET.
Barcelona comes into the match after losing at home in a rare upset against Valencia in La Liga play and that came after their last Copa del Rey match against Levante that ended up 5-1 and before that the team won 3-0 against Malaga. The team demolished Levante with nine goals over two matches and they now have two wins and a draw with the club over their last three matches head to head and Barca is coming up on a tough part of the schedule and they are playing well at the right time. The club is in the mix at the top of La Liga and they are looking to add another Spanish trophy as well.
La Liga has Atletico Madrid in the top spot and they have a slight lead over Barcelona and Real Madrid, who each have 54 points and are separated by goals and they have a nice lead on the rest of the league on the table standings. Barcelona plays against Real Sociedad at Camp Nou and then has a return match at Anoeta and coming up as well is the Champions League and that should be a tough battle, as they start off on the road against Manchester City for the Last 16 knockout round and that will be at the Etihad Stadium and comes after Man City just had tis winning streak snapped with a loss to Chelsea.
Manchester City is a tough matchup and they are second right now on the English Premier League table and that first match comes before a return trip at the Estadio Camp Nou and that will be in March. Man City has a chance to pull off the upset and they will need to get off to a good start in that first match to have a chance. Real comes into the match against Barca with 36 points on the league table and their last match was a shutout against Atletico Madrid and they have tough matches coming up in La Liga with one against Barcelona as well as Real Madrid later in the schedule.
