While Kentucky has seen its share of struggles on the road going 2-3 away from Rupp Arena, at home the Wildcats are currently undefeated and intend to stay that. The No. 18 team will look to extend their 21-game home win streak that dates back to last season as Ole Miss comes into town looking for the upset win.
Kentucky has shown its youth over the past few weeks. They are coming off two-straight road losses before bouncing back against Missouri for the 84-79 win. Aaron Harrison led the team with 21 points while big man Julius Randle added 18 after getting held to just six points against LSU.
Not only has Kentucky been successful at home, but they have been extremely successful against the SEC at home. 12 of the team's 21 home wins have come against conference rivals. They win each game by an average of 21 points while beating their last four SEC visitors by an average of 18.0 points.
Mississippi could struggle against Kentucky considering the team is 4-3 on the road with 19 straight losses to ranked teams on the road. They have not beaten a ranked team away from home since LSU in 2003 when the Tigers were ranked No. 23.
The Rebels are currently tied with Kentucky for second in the SEC as they sit 6-2 in conference play. After a loss to Tennessee last week, Ole Miss bounced back for a win against South Carolina over the weekend. The team trailed by 15 before outscoring the Gamecocks 29-10 in the last nine minutes of the game. Marshall Henderson continues to dominate. He is averaging 19.2 points while his 77 3-pointers lead the conference. He put up 21 points against South Carolina and will look to do the same against the Wildcats.
