The Super Bowl 2014 results has the Seattle Seahawks on top as they take the win by the score of 43-8 over the Denver Broncos in the SB XLVIII NFL championship game and now Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch have the Lombardi Trophy and the MVP of the game was Malcolm Smith after his interception for a TD and his fantastic finish down the stretch.

The Broncos started off the game on the wrong foot literally, as Peyton Manning and his center had a miscommunication and the ball was snapped early and ended up in the end zone for a safety just 12 seconds into the game. Manning and the Broncos never could bounce back from that play and the Seahawks pulled ahead early after a defensive touchdown after a Marshawn Lynch rushing touchdown and with Russell Wilson playing solid all game, the team was up 22-0 at halftime. The Broncos didn't score until the end of the third quarter and Manning never could get the team going against the hard hitting Seahawks defense and the unit literally made it hard for the Broncos to gain any yardage on a consistent basis.

The depth of the Seattle team was evident on both sides of the ball with names like Malcolm Smith and Jermaine Kearse making the different and Smith helped put the game out of reach with an interception return for a touchdown and he later recovered a fumble from Demaryius Thomas. The Broncos WR set a record for receptions in the game after putting up some great numbers, but it took too long to get going and the team could not get into the endzone until it was too late.

Manning passed for over 5,400 yards and 55 touchdowns this season and won the MVP award, but just 12 seconds into the game the matchup was already going bad on the safety. The second half did not get off to anything better, as Percy Harvin returned a kickoff for a touchdown and that put the game completely out of reach and opened things up in the third quarter. The Seahawks did not turn the ball over and got pressure on Manning all day without even blitzing and they forced multiple turnovers and the staff even did a nice thing by getting Tarvaris Jackson into the matchup for the final few plays and Wilson said that was very deserving. Richard Sherman was seriously injured at the end of the game and now the Seahawks have allowed just eight points in two games at MetLife Stadium and they nearly shutout both Manning brothers and now the Seahawks are heading into the offseason as champions and that means every team will be trying to copy their formula about building a team. The Seahawks have depth at nearly every position and use defensive players where they are best and not where the scheme tells them to go and they also have tall corners and that has been a huge advantage.

Russell Wilson won as a second year quarterback to join Tom Brady, Kurt Warner and Ben Roethlisberger as Super Bowl champions in their first or second seasons and now Manning will continue to get the talk about how he doesn't come through in the playoffs. Percy Harvin was fantastic in the game and his trade from the offseason truly paid off and now the Seahawks are champions.
