The Super Bowl commercials in 2014 have taken new life and now the game ads are on YouTube and online before SB XLVIII on Sunday and the Kia ad with Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus in The Matrix and the Jaguar ad featuring Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong are on YouTube to watch already and have kicked things off for the big game on Sunday night.
The Kia ad has the actor bringing back his familiar character from the Matrix films and has a 90-second commercial for the game and it will air during the Super Bowl. The ad is a play on the films and has him as a valet and works a joke from the scene when Fishburne tells Keeanu Reeves that he can choose the blue pill or the red pill and about destiny, but this time it's about a car. Fishburne is having a great run right now, playing Daily Planet editor Perry White in Man of Steel and also playing the lead on Hannibal on NBC and he speaks in the commercial about "luxury" and what's real or not and then he ends the commercial singing some classical opera music.
The second Jaguar commercial has three strong British actors in Tom Hiddleston, Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong and it is about hos "British actors" always play the villain in Hollywood and these three have done it recently in super hero films. Strong in the Green Lantern, Kingsley in Iron Man 3 and Hiddleston in Thor and now they have teamed up for a commercial for Jaguar that features a play on the three actors and why they like the cars and it is directed by Tom Hooper, Academy Award nominee for Le Mis.
