The Oakland Raiders tried Terrelle Pryor at quarterback with Matt McGloin last season and ended up 4-12 for the second straight year and now Reggie McKenzie and Dennis Allen have to decide if one of those two are the answer or someone like Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Michael Vick or Blake Bortles is the right player to take the team into 2014.

Pryor had a rough end to the season when he was named the starter for the final game on the schedule in Week 17, as his agent came out and said that Dennis Allen was setting him up for failure. According to ESPN.com, that is what likely led to Pryor bringing in Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent and it is a return, as he previously was his first agent in the league and that could lead to a split down the line if the Raiders bring in a new quarterback. McGloin and Pryor started games for the Raiders this season and it comes after Pryor was taken in the supplemental draft in 2011 and this season he passed for nearly 1,800 yards and seven touchdowns with 11 picks and he also did a good job rushing the ball.

McGloin and Pryor could be in the mix heading into next season, but with a top five pick and names like Josh Freeman and Michael Vick on the market as well as Bortles, Bridgewater and Manziel in the draft and that could lead to some competition. Pryor fired his old agent Jerome Stanley after what happened at the end of the season and his words did not sit right with the Raiders and with Allen remaining as the head coach, that friction may have carried over. Pryor now has Rosenhaus and that could lead to a big move for the quarterback this offseason.

The Raiders went just 4-12 last season and finished ranked 25th in the league in passing yards per game and the defense did not improve as much as many thought it would after signing players in the offseason. The secondary ranked 28th in passing yards per game after signing Charles Woodson, Tracy Porter and Mike Jenkins and drafting DJ Hayden and now they have some major questions heading into next season. Pryor may be the answer, but McKenzie will surely be tempted by the big names.
