The NFL playoffs standings has just four teams left for the AFC and NFC championship round games this weekend and the matchups for the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks starts up on Sunday in the afternoon with the games airing on TV from FOX and CBS and the first game begins with coverage at 3 pm.

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are playing for the second time this season and it comes after Tom Brady led a comeback against Peyton Manning in Foxborough and now the game will be in Colorado at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. This will be the 15th time the two quarterbacks have faced off against each other and the fourth time in the playoffs and this one will have a huge impact on the legacy of Manning. This season Peyton has demolished records and all that is missing is a Super Bowl trophy and while he has one already, his critics feel that one more is needed and having to get there through his rival in Brady is the perfect storyline.

If the Broncos lose at home in the playoffs for the second year in a row, Manning will get the blame even if he is not at fault and that is one reason why this matchup should be very entertaining and intriguing. The matchup has the top two seeds in the AFC going against each other and comes after the Broncos knocked off the Chargers in the divisional round and the Patriots took down the Colts in dominating fashion. Neither of these teams had to play in the first round and now one more victory will put them in the Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium. The Broncos are coming into the game with the best ranked passing offense in the league and they are 13-3 from the regular season, while the Pats were 12-4.

The Broncos and the Patriots played once already this season and on the other side of the bracket, the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks are getting ready to play for the third time and comes after the two teams split their first games. The Seahawks won their early game on the season with a 29-3 victory that came without Michael Crabtree for the 49ers and then the Niners got their revenge in the Bay Area, as they won in San Francisco on a last second field goal to get the victory.

The game has two of the best young quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick and Wilson comes in 16-1 in his career at CenturyLink Field, while Kaepernick is just a year removed from the Super Bowl, so he knows what it's like to play in big games. The Seahawks and 49ers are very different teams, but they have many similarities, including coaches with Pac-12 history in Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh, strong starting backs in Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore, smart and dynamic quarterbacks in Colin Kaepernick and Wilson and both teams also have very strong defenses.

The schedule this weekend has:
The New England Patriots playing the Denver Broncos on Sunday at 3:00 pm on CBS
The San Francisco 49ers visiting the Seattle Seahawks at 6:30 pm ET on FOX
