The Wisconsin Badgers are a target. The Big Ten team has been the surprise of the season as they sit undefeated on the year. The third-ranked Badgers will certainly be tested as they face Indiana on the road, looking to keep their record perfect as they make their way through conference play.
Wisconsin has a 13-game win streak against the Hoosiers over the past six years, but Indiana is 11-5 and poised to upset the Badgers. Wisconsin is coming off two-straight wins against ranked opponents while their defense is holding teams to just 34.4 percent shooting. They are winning the turnover battle, averaging just 5.5 a game. On top of a stout defense, they are also working towards one of more efficient offenses, averaging 13.0 assists per game. In the win over Illinois, the Badgers shot 56.1 percent from the floor as four different players got into double-digit point totals.
Indiana on the other hand is having a rough time in conference play. The Hoosiers are 1-2 in Big Ten after narrowly avoiding a loss to Penn State on Saturday. The team trailed by 15 points at the half, shooting 36.2 percent overall. The escaped 79-76, but Wisconsin will not give them the luxury of a comeback.
Freshman Noah Vonleh is leading Indiana. He put up a career-high 19 points against the Lions while Yogi Ferrell added 15 points. Indiana is need of a better defense facing Wisconsin as the team is allowing an average of 68.8 points from opponents. They are 9-2 at home this season, so the Badgers can expect a tough crowd.
Indiana has not beaten Wisconsin since 2007 and is desperate to break the losing streak. So far, the Hoosiers are 0-3 against ranked opponents this year, so an upset win would do a lot for the team.
