The NFL playoffs are live online and back on TV for Saturday night with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the New Orleans Saints at Lincoln Financial Field for the NFC wild card game and the matchup is on NBC and starting at 8:10 pm ET and has two of the best offenses in the league with Drew Brees and Nick Foles going up against each other at quarterback.
The Saints come in ranked second in the league in passing offense with over 300 yards per game and the Eagles defense is on high alert, as they come into the playoffs ranked last in the league in passing yards allowed per game. The first game of the day saw a historic comeback for the Indianapolis Colts against the Kansas City Chiefs and now Andrew Luck is through to the next round and through 13 minutes in the first quarter, the Eagles and Saints were scoreless and the game could be decided by how well the Eagles cover Jimmy Graham out of the tight end position, as he had 16 touchdowns and is a favorite target for Brees.
The Saints are playing without their leading rusher, while LeSean McCoy won the rushing title this season with over 1,600 yards on the ground and Nick Foles was very impressive with nearly 3,000 yards and 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions. The team ranked first in the league in rushing yards per game this season and they ranked in the top 10 in passing as well and while the Saints defense has improved from last year, it still has given up way too many yards for stretches this season. The Eagles came into the playoffs after defeating the Dallas Cowboys and the Saints come in as the sixth seed after losing out in the NFC South to the Carolina Panthers.
