Jan 04, 2014 07:55 PM EST

The New Orleans Saints are travelling to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday night and the game will be on NBC at 8:10 pm and streaming online from the NFL.com website and comes after the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs played a back and forth game in the AFC and this kicks off the NFC playoffs at Lincoln Financial Field.

The NFL playoffs are here and the Wild Card round schedule kicks things off over the weekend and in the NFC the New Orleans Saints will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles first on Saturday before the San Francisco 49ers visit the Green Bay Packers in a rematch from last season and that game will be on Sunday in the later game on FOX and here are some predictions and picks for the matchups and the schedule for the NBC, FOX and CBS games.

The Saints come into the playoffs in the sixth seed after being in position for the number two spot as NFC South champs for most of the season, but after losing that to the Panthers they now will have to travel on the road to play against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. New Orleans started the season undefeated and looked like they were locks for the division before slumping a bit at the end and now they will have to hit the road for the wild card round and that has not been their strong suit and on top of that, as a six seed they will have no chance at a home game during the postseason.

The second game on the schedule has the Packers hosting the San Francisco 49ers and that is the final matchup of the wild card weekend and the game will be from Lambeau Field and airing on TV from FOX at 4:40 pm. The game is a rematch from the playoffs last season, but this time the location of the matchup will be in Green Bay and not Candlestick Park and that could have a huge effect on things, as it is expected to be below freezing temperatures for the game and snow is also in the forecast for the evening. Aaron Rodgers returned to the lineup after missing seven games for the Packers and he proved to be crucial in the NFC North championship game against the Bears after tossing the winning pass to Randall Cobb and now the two will be the main focus for the Niners on Sunday. Last season the Packers let Colin Kaepernick run wild and that will be a big concern for the Green Bay D this time around.

Some NFC Wild Card Predictions and Picks:

San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers
Packers win the rematch this time around and weather plays a factor with the cold, giving Aaron Rodgers the edge he needs and while the Niners defense plays well, Eddie Lacy ends up being the difference with a strong game on the ground to go along with Rodgers. Score 24-21 Packers.

New Orleans Saints vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles win a shootout over the Saints despite a big game from Drew Brees and the difference comes from LeSean McCoy, who will rush for over 100 yards. Score 38-28 Eagles.
