Chicago Bulls Trade Rumors: Luol Deng Deal For Omer Asik, Pau Gasol, Kenneth Faried or Evan Turner At Trading Deadline?

The Chicago Bulls are still debating what to do when it comes to trading or keeping star Luol Deng at the deadline and as reports come out about possible trades between Lakers star Pau Gasol and Cleveland Cavaliers, there is a chance that the team could make a move and some of the top names on the market includes Omer Asik, Kyle Lowry, Kenneth Faried and Evan Turner.

The Bulls are dealing with another major injury to Derrick Rose and he could be out for the season and now the biggest question for the team will be whether they keep Deng or not heading into the trading deadline. The Bulls and Deng had contract talks earlier in the offseason and over the summer before tabling them and now there is a chance he could be traded, as he has an expiring contract and that will look favorable to teams wanting to make a move. Rose has said to reporters that he hopes the team does not attempt a rebuild while he is out, but with a 12-18 record and the deadline, coming, the franchise could start to deal names like Deng or Carlos Boozer.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Bulls are not one of the teams interested in trading for Andrew Bynum and his very lucrative expiring contract, but they could make a deal for young star Dion Waiters and some other names that fit could be Kyle Lowry or Evan Turner from the Sixers. The Bulls still have a chance at pulling things out in the east since the rest of the conference is terrible apart from the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers and there is also a chance that Rose could return.

The report from Pro Basketball talk says that the Bulls were a team that could have been involved in the Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum trade talks, but the Chicago Tribune writes that the team is not looking to make the move, even with the possible savings from Bynum's $12.25 million deal, which becomes guaranteed on January 7 and means teams can deal for him and then waive him to save money. The Bulls would be able to save over $20 million with a deal involving Deng, but the report says that the team is not currently looking to do that. The Bulls are just 12-18 on the year and third in the central division and they are coming off of a tough loss against the Toronto Raptors and now will play against the Boston Celtics.
